Okay, I’m southern… as a girl I watched Gone With the Wind, and read the book. I was mesmerized by the glimpse into the past, the Civil War. I grew up near Atlanta, and the story was for a young girl, romantic, tragic, exciting and full of historical fiction that spoke to my imagination.  I always hated i never knew what happened,  if Scarlett would recover from Rhett. I never wanted to believe they were never together again…

But then in 1991 Alexandria Ripley published “Scarlett” and my mind that had often fantasized what happened later, had a new dream. The idea Scarlett moved to Ireland and found Rhett and they came back together was an ending I always wanted to believe.  So my ending to my childhood mystery became reality in print… So, mine was written and gave me a new romantic ending… dreams can come true without me doing the rewrite!
