To be honest, I had to think on this one… so many movies that disappoint, but not so many I expect to and then don’t. My movie was, “The Help”. I expected it to be a movie that was full of things that were surreal, fake, and even just piss me off. Instead, I was reminded of the real life struggles I grew up through. The reality that they portrayed of people, changing, of people fighting silently to change. The way women were, their strength, their wisdom, as well as the truth of those who were afraid to change and even enjoyed their uppity ways was a good reminder of life. I rewatch it every year at least, or if its on and I find it I watch.
