Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.
At the beginning of the year I felt a need for this year to be a year of being kind, sharing kindness, and making sure the world outside did not beat me up, rather I wanted to sow kindness… I have truly been working on myself and my faith leads me to be more of what “the letters in red” describe and command.
I work part-time at the Dairy Queen, I’m 67, and this is how I stay social. My kids had expressed concern that I was becoming quite the hermit. So, a friend needed help, and I answered the call. I spread smiles, happy conversations, and just bless some people with prayers. It does my heart as much good, they don’t even realize they are blessing me with their kindness back. The other day a lady came in, didn’t have enough money, I pulled it from my pocket paid her bill, she cried, asked if she could hug me, her mom is in the hospital and was on the way there. BLESSING 🙌 I am the night manager, I feed my crew some nights, tonight I am again.
When I was in college in a psych class, we did a pay it forward task. I learned from that how satisfying it was to feel as if you could change someone’s day, their mood. Ransom acts of kindness do that, they can be the spark that ignites a new thought, emotion, or sends help to breathe to rise to the top for someone. We are all struggling at some time, in some way… consider spreading kindness as sowing seed to grow the world’s health ! Just Be Kind…
