Dear Teenage Me,
I know you have had your head down trying to make things happen to escape the dysfunction. The control, the mental fallout, the restriction of dreams and hope are real, but know this… You make it in the end. Things will not be as you dream, but you nonetheless will find your way through. Don’t worry so much, just keep going and doing the things, the right things. You will survive and even thrive. The faith you have will be with you always. It is not God that lets you down, but man. God will help you up and keep you moving, just believe. No, it won’t be easy but the relationships you now feel are burdensome will become easier, and you will find in the end that love is stronger than hate, the hate eats at you deeply. Let. IT. Go. Dare to venture out and dream even in old age… Life is a journey, and you are up for it. In the end, it is simple things that mean the most. The daily things, just take time to enjoy the little things as you go, you will miss them one day. Just keep moving, doing, and believing… You got this…
I am proud of you,
My Older Me
