I admit a reverence and awed appeal for all the animals in the Animal Kingdom. Each of them so marvelously special and unique… God did that. But my favorite is dogs. I am dog people, have been all my life. I grew up with dogs being part of our family and they are my heart companions. I have always had them. The ones that now are a part of my life stumbled in to it, abandoned by horrid people, now spoiled by me, my mutt pack. They give me so much, including hope, love, and laughter. They have a resilience in them, a forgiving nature that allows them to love me even after being treated so inhumanely… they protect me as I protect them… we are a pack, a family…
