How have your political views changed over time?

Rambling on about political ideas and their evolution….

I was born in an era when democracy and being a democrat here in the south was what we did, who we were… we were Antifa, I had grandparents who recounted the horrors of WWII to me. I was and still am a democrat, I believe in the separation of church and state. I believe your kid’s should pray and learn the Bible in Church not school. I am fighting the ideology of this current regime. I believe this country was built on the backs of immigrants, and I honor them, their resilience and determination and dedire for a better life. I am all for democracy, and I am educated, I am not taken by lies and deception, I am a person LEAST LIKELY TO JOIN A CULT. I do not understand the ignorance and racism spewing up. Thought we had moved past these things and as a person whose Amcestry is as White as you can get, 94% English, 4% Irish,  2% southern European… I am disappointed, hurt and shocked at all of the idocracy of this country… I find it surreal. I pray every day for us all, I speak up, I March, I try to defend our democracy and protect it. No my views have not changed but deepened. I feel we are in a fight for our country’s soul.
