Life is one decision after another…

Rambling on about what the hardest decisions revolve around…..

What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?

At this point in my life I have made many decisions that kept me up at night, caused me to worry, caused me to cry… yes even caused me to doubt life’s purpose and people. I would like to think that at this era in life the hard and painful decisions are done but one never really knows what tomorrow will bring.

I have made decisions that tested my belief in people I love and cared for, decisions to lead my life in ways that backfired and left me hollow and hurt. These I would say we’re the hardest, because of the loss of people I loved or having to start over in life again. But the thing is, I always get back up! The hardest decisions, mistakes or not, are when we find our strength, test our faith, and find our footing to continue on.

Decisions are what life is made of, there is no escape from that reality. The hard ones, they help build character, help you discover your self worth. Just do the work, life is a process. Gather information, consider your goals, and consider all your options from different perspectives. Then, weigh the pros and cons, balancing emotional and logical variables, but dont get stuck, set a deadline for yourself, hold yourself accountable to avoid paralysis by analysis. After this process, take action, make the decision.

In the end hard decisions may be a struggle, but know, that after it is all said and done the challenges we face help build our character, and life is a learn as we go journey. For me, hard decisions and their affects are not always what I would hope or wish for. The why is because I am disappointed in people,  in myself, or in life in general. They just are what they are, I hope for the best and learn to live with the effects of them… just trying to find my peace…

  1. Nothing aggravates me more than someone who can’t make a decision. You just have to do the best you can with the information you have at the time. Sometimes you are right and sometimes not. Nevertheless, if you fail to make a decision, time will make it for you.
