For the mind, in an attempt to understand, as well as to tickle my imagination…

The current state of America has me lost some days, overwhelmed by ignorance, hate, and the rise of old issues I thought we had fought past. I’ve lost family, friends and become someone who has been reeling from the revelation of things I see, hear, and that are a threat to life as I knew it. It takes a lot of energy to rise up and keep going at times.  In an effort to understand what has happened,  what is becoming loud and surreal to me, I am reading now, “White Rural Rage,  The Threat to American Democracy ” its a hard read, overwhelming itself but I think it might help me understand things… I hope anyway. Unlike so many around me, I do not follow the regime now destroying America, I choose knowledge, finding truth, educating mysrlf to be better. Like in said its a hard read, an eye opening one.

To Counteract the heaviness of that, I read Mornings With Jesus, my devotio book, and the Bible. There is also a need to change the scene in my mind at times, like I said, heavy… I am reading “Rhett Butler’s People” is grew up in Georgia and still live here. Gone With The Wind was a classic for me, and I thought its historical fantasy vibe would help me dream better.

I am a diverse reader, livestock educated mysrlf, learn new things but also have a love of historical fiction, romance, and magical writings… all m of which feed my imagination.
