The most expensive personal purchase I made was actually almost 9 years ago, well time really does fly by… it was my Ashley Power Recliner, in extra wide to hold not only me but to have snuggle room for my fur babies too. It is my comfort zone, a plush suede, wide seat, powers my legs up and good for naps, reflection, and  draped with a blanket to settle in and just nest.

I hesitated, even nine years ago its 600.00 price tag was expensive. But I told myself I was worth it, comfort is a blessing. Nowadays I worry that it will need replacement, the price tag now double what it was originally. But we will cross that bridge when we get there…

Today, this morning, as every morning… I sit in the Queen chair, watching the day begin. The view I enjoy out the bay window of the woods, the birdfeeder, the sunrise as I watch the world come alive speaks to my heart, the chair is a comfortable place,  for me my comfort zone… I’ve held grandkids in it, read stories and told them from it… slept in it, it has held me as I recovered from surgery and sickness, and written poetry and such from it. I have dreamed of tomorrow and cried over loss and pain from it as well. It is an old friend of sorts, a place I go to for relaxing, thinking, and to feel safe and “at Home…”  The best expensive thing I ever bought…
