What things give you energy?

What is energy? Is it drive, movement, purpose, spirit, or a mechanical function? How is it measured, from where does it come…

Energy is defined as such: “Energy is measured in joules, cannot be created or destroyed, but can be transferred or transformed from one form to another, which is the basis for modern civilization and life itself…”

Where does energy come from, my Personal energy…. it comes from my faith, my Inner voice that tells me to get up and move, to take the day, the chance, to start stepping and join the world, move forth and see, feel, become a part of life. Maybe the caffeine helps. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt, and it’s part of the personal process that makes my day start, helps me get my old parts oiled and working so my ole’ woman self can go out in the world and make the day… But it’s the tiniest of things that spark me, give me the desire, cause the motor inside to rev up and move. It is seeing and believing that today is a gift. It is seeing the world outside, the miracles of wonder and beauty that draw me out, fuel me. It is knowing that God is in the details, that gives me the energy to be, to go on, to do…  that each day is a gift, a chance, and a challenge that is given to me.

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak… those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”. Isaiah 40: 29-31
