Rambling on about Strength, Solitude, and Guiding Others
Leadership isn’t always about grand gestures—it’s often found in quiet resilience and the steady hand guiding others through uncertainty. My own story weaves together the experiences of being the eldest of three sisters, a single mother to two sons by choice, and someone who’s always relied on creative problem-solving to navigate both family, personal, and professional challenges.
As the oldest sibling, I found myself in a role of responsibility, stepping in to resolve issues that my sisters were too young to carry. These early experiences shaped my instinct to lead and think outside the box, preparing me for the obstacles that would come later.
Parenting two sons on my own wasn’t always easy, but it strengthened my resolve and reinforced my belief in raising independent, resilient children. I encouraged them to learn from challenges and to forge their own paths.
The skills I honed within my family carried over into my work life. I see my role as a manager as one of empowering others, providing guidance when uncertainty holds people back. I’ve always valued empathy and strive to be a leader who listens first and helps others grow in confidence. Leading with empathy is both rewarding and demanding. I often feel the weight of responsibility, which makes it essential for me to seek solitude and recharge when needed. This balance enables me to lead with authenticity and care. I am also sure at this time in life my Mushroom Coffee helps me stay calm and not kill people at times !
I am thankful for the gift of leadership and for the ability to move my own way. In spite of my much-needed moments of solitude, I value the journey, the growth, and the opportunity to inspire others to lead with empathy and courage. Besides, God got me, He is the real leader in my life!
