What daily habit do you do that improves your quality of life?
My days have evolved over the years, as my children grew up and moved on, as I have grown older and now live alone… But each day simulates the next in certain ways, ways that help me, feed me, and carry me into whatever comes and makes life better for Me.
I usually rise at my own pace, early but when God nudges me up… I dress in my walking clothes and make my own personal protein mushroom coffee concoction and settle into my queen chair to wake up my body, mind, and soul… my chair has a view of the woods that surround me, a birds-eye view of my redbird feeder, and in the background Alexa plays my zen Playlist.. I sip, I watch, and I then read… my devotional Jumpstarts my soul and my mind. It helps me navigate the rush of chaos that comes as I try to absorb the energy of the world and its chaos.
The next steps of my morning lead me to writing a bit, and waking my mind on up… it is always full of words and musings. It is heavy at times, writing gives it release… it also makes my heart smile. A good thing for Me!
After a short write, sometimes a long one, I am up and moving into the outdoors. NATURE IS MY ZEN PLACE. it is where I hear the whispers from my heart and soul more clearly. It is my happy zone. The miracles there, the creatures, the beauty, it is both therapeutic and soothing to ME! The quality of life we have is personal, we each have our own needs and our own path to be the best we can be…
Mine is simple in its path… for me it allows me to breathe, to connect with God, to wake the me inside to be open to the whispers of my mind, my heart, and my soul, and walk into the world outside with a spirit that chooses kindness, understanding, and to believe that something good is waiting… that improves not only me, but might help the world too…
