When I was a kid we played outside and were busier than most are today. There were fewer options and I feel we had a rocking childhood.

On Saturday morning we watched Looney Tunes filled with Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Yogi Bear and Booboo. The Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Just to name a few. On Sunday night, The Wonderful World of Disney brought us magical movies we watched as a family. Omaha Animal Kingdom was a favorite too. As I grew up I raced home to watch Dark Shadows and The Rifleman, Bonanza, My Three Sons, The Carol Burnett Show, Art Linkletter, The Red Skelton show, and don’t forget Tarzan. Oh and yes… The Lawrence Welk Show…

It was a different time, we did more than we watch more… but the dreams of my youth were filled with these characters. A rich childhood fantasy world was spawned from these shows… and to be honest, I still watch them today, and yes, they bring joy to my old soul….
