Are you seeking security or adventure? Why does there have to be a choice?

I suppose with the state of the world the choices are becoming fraught with uncertainty and ability… can I afford to be adventurous, is it possible to attain both? I had thought until recently that I was financially secure but now that seems to have an air of uncertainty about it. I had presumed that at this stage of life adventure would be possible,  but that seems to be slipping further away.

I’d like to buy a motor home and travel and see the National and State parks. To see the wonders that nature possesses in this country. But now, sadly, they seem to be under attack and their existence is in question. Our natural wonders are proposed to be sold to the highest bidder, mined for greed. Their beauty, their treasure, lost to the world.

But the security, financially,  that I thought I had is also being threatened. How can everything we fought for, that was set in place to help us survive as a country be stripped away to empower treasonous ideals and line the pockets of men who do not need more riches?

We are in a state where we have to consider needs and prepare for a future that we never saw possible. Maybe this is the adventure… we must build a wall of our own, secure a space for us to weather the storms of uncertainty that seem to be becoming all too real now.

Security or adventure… I suppose that I seek both, and thought that I had both… only time will tell what we can have now.
