What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?
Comfort is defined as the pleasant and satisfying feeling of being physically or mentally free from pain, physical or mental. It is the state of being less worried, upset, or frightened in a time of trouble or suffering. In society today we often relate comfort to our state of living, “I’m comfortable” we say when we are financially in a good place.
For me, comfort in my life comes from being more mentally at ease, in the zone as some often say. I’m in “my zone” when I am in nature. On my acres, and among the things that bring me joy. Even my physical ailments are better when I move and do. The old saying, “if you don’t use it you lose it” let me assure you that as you age this becomes a definite reality.
For me my comfort is increased when I have quiet morning time, when my mutts allow, watching the birds come to my feeder outside my window as I take in my coffee. I watch, drink, and play music ruminating on what is ahead… then I go out and walk about the acres. I find great freedom for my mind in nature, putting away the tension of the chaos in the world. It also greatest my parts and makes my body feel better. Like I said. Move it or lose it… I choose to try to keep it all going for comforts sake.
I suppose we all define comfort a bit differently, depending on our needs. For me, it’s staying busy, active, in mind and body. That is what gives me that satisfying pleasant feeling that is what I term comfort… the beauty of the world is where I find my comfy feeling…
