The future, what lies ahead of me. It is in reality a mystery, one that we spend time planning, dreaming, and hoping for and about. It is for the most part a wishing game we play. Our imagination gives us a hopeful glance at how we dream it will be.

I’m excited to see my new great-grandson born in 8 days, I’m praying for his future. I’m excited to see the good people in this country rise up and work toward a real future. The one part of my future that I am most excited about is the one thing I’m certain of… of one day taking my trip to be with those I’ve lost and to walk the streets of heaven. That is the only future I am certain of, as the old saying goes. “We make plans, God laughs…”
